User manual

A practical reference for every area of CMT.

The application groups daily work, protection, diagnostics, and settings into separate navigation areas.

CMT Codex Toolbox

Dashboard and conversations

The dashboard summarizes current state; the conversation area provides detailed filters and actions.

  • Status reflects local evidence, not cloud execution state
  • Background refresh can be paused
  • Batch actions always show a preview first

Backups and restore

The backup area shows size, retention status, original location, and restore options.

  • Integrity is checked before restore
  • Conflicts support rename, replace, or cancel
  • Clear-all requires an explicit confirmation and excludes active operations

Settings and troubleshooting

Configure refresh, retention, language, notifications, and support diagnostics.

  • Language changes apply without reinstalling
  • Health checks identify folder and database issues
  • Support exports can be previewed and redacted

Safety gates

CMT changes available actions according to Codex activity and the risk of the requested operation.

  • Database compression stays disabled while Codex is open
  • Long operations show progress and prevent duplicate submission
  • Cancel or close actions never imply that a backup was completed

Search, tags, and saved views

Combine filters to isolate the exact records required for review or batch work.

  • Clear individual filters without resetting the whole workspace
  • Name saved views by purpose rather than temporary dates
  • Preview the final record count before a batch action

Operation history

Review backup, archive, delete, restore, cleanup, and migration results in one timeline.

  • Open failure details and affected paths
  • Use retained recovery actions only within their valid period
  • Export history evidence without exposing serial values

Language and license settings

Interface language and license state are managed independently from conversation data.

  • Switch among Traditional Chinese, English, and Japanese
  • Check trial or activation status before moving computers
  • Deactivate through the documented flow before reactivation
